Engraving Test!

Hi!

As far as I know, I always tried to make some engraving stuff on wood!. Yesterday I finally did it!
I made some tests with old illustrations and  I'm now preparing sketchs to develop more stuff...

I would like to let you know about a lovely project that I'm working on.
Maybe some of you have already checked the last post I made at Paper-Toy.fr the ultimate website about papertoys.
I speak about MyPaperFace!

Indeed, I work on this new concept of online papertoys customisation.
I worked on the papertoy template, the illustration of the DIY module and on the web design.
We were on fire last months and right now we are so happy about the result!

The Night of the Exquisite Corpse opening reception is this Friday, August 17th, from 7–10 p.m! Stop by Light Grey Art Lab to see a horde of mini-zombie papercraft toys! We'll also have refreshments, free DIY zombie templates, and an interactive display letting you swap the head, torso and legs of the zombies to make some truly bizarre combinations of creatures!

 

  Remember, the opening reception is Friday, August 17th from 7- 10pm! We're located on the corner of Stevens Ave and 26th Street - right across from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design. Street parking is available on Stevens, 26th and 1st Ave.

Long time without posting!
Shame on me...
But no worries, I'm still alive and I work a lot on different kind of projects.
I will add some informations later.

But right now, let me introduce on new exhibtion! the ARTOYZ FAKESTIVAL!

The main theme was to create a fake festival (with the line up we want) and of course create the poster of this festival!

After « School’s Out » (2010), where a selection of artists have illustrated a remembrance of their school time, then « Blockbusterz » (2011), where illustrators were challenged to reinterpret the blockbusters of those past 30 years, here is the new group exhibition for this summer 2012: Artoyz Fake-Stival.

Summer is definitely the music festivals period: from Glastonbury to Eurockéennes, from Route du Rock to Vans Warped Tour or Primavera, Sziget and many more. Each festival has its own Line-up and its visual identity, one managed by the programming team and the other by a graphic designer or an agency.
The idea of Artoyz Fake-Stival is offering to artists and illustrators the opportunity to do the programming AND the poster!
A fake festival for a real show.

Here is the list of the participating artists
Atomike Studio, Auregrafik, Denis Carrier, Craiion, Cuypi, Førtifem, Georges Le Mercenaire, le crew des Haterz, Horsujet, ILK, Mega, Alexander Nacache, Niark, Frank Pellegrino, Sang noir Studio, Short, Theoze, Tougui .
The artists’ creations will be printed in limited edition Giclee print and display for all summer in the gallery Artoyz.

You have no copyright on these paper toys.

Well, you don't want to provide me the Disney characters, I'll look elsewhere.

But if you change your mind, you can send me samples printed to my address.

I absolutely do, they are my artwork. You took them from my site, print them and sell them. You are now asking me for more.

It is you who have no rights to them. You think you can just find other peoples work online to sell for yourself?
